Arsenal’s Dani Ceballos confessed that Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane told him in private that see the Spaniard player’s future at the Santiago Bernabeu. This, amid speculation that Arsenal is interested in extending the loan contract of the midfielder.
The Spaniard has a good season with the Gunners and has become an important player on Mikel Arteta’s side.
Despite having lost two months of football because of an injury, Ceballos was beginning to flourish once again, but the Premier League season was paralyzed indefinitely by the coronavirus pandemic.
Another club that showed interest in counting on Ceballos for the next season is Italy’s Juventus.
However, Zidane’s message clearly hit the Spaniard, as the man himself talked to DAZN about the whole situation:
“I saw Zidane in Valdebebas a few months ago, when I was recovering from an injury and he told me that he was watching my games at Arsenal. I have a good relationship with him and he always told me that we are similar players in the sense that I need to play very often to be in good condition. He told me that my future is in Real Madrid and that I needed to be patient because I will probably have a chance.”
Ceballos was due to return to Spain at the end of the season, but with this unforeseen situation, things may change.
Initially, Dani Ceballos’ contract with Arsenal would go until June 30, but it’s unlikely that it won’t be extended at least until the Premier League season is completed.
That’s good to see that Ceballos will probably be given a chance at Real Madrid. He said that he has a good relationship with Zinedine, but it hasn’t always been like that, as the Spaniard left Madrid with hard feelings towards the Frenchman, as the manager didn’t want to keep him.
Ceballos has all the potential to substitute Luka Modric for example, and help the Spanish giants in the upcoming seasons.
