If there is one team which has been appalling so far this season, it is West Ham United.
After four Premier League games played, the Hammers find themselves in the last place on the Premier League standings and have taken ZERO points from their games played so far, losing them all.
They are the only team that has yet to claim a point this season and if they fail to turn things around soon, yet another relegation battle could be on the cards for the East Londoners.
On a concerning note, the last time they started the League in such poor form was during the 2010-11 season and this also happened to be the last time during which they were relegated from the top-flight.
After a frustrating season last term, the Hammers board listened to their fans and made wholesale changes to the setup.
While David Moyes achieved his mandate of helping the club avoid relegation, he was never seen as a long-term option considering his poor recent track record.
The club decided against renewing the contract of the former Everton and Manchester United boss and instead opted to bring in Manuel Pellegrini.
This decision was highly praised. Pellegrini has vast experience managing at the highest level and also previously won the Premier League with Manchester City during the 2013-14 season.
They also spent more than £100 million on bringing in new players but things have obviously gone pear-shaped.
One thing that the Hammers fans can take inspiration from is Crystal Palace’s remarkable rise last season. The Eagles lost their opening seven games of last season but managed to rise and avoid the drop after Roy Hodgson was installed as manager.
The Hammers are however looking like a team devoid of confidence currently and if they are to improve, they may have to consider sacking Pellegrini soon.
