Along with International break. A formidable World Cup, which had France lifting the Silverware. The European Leagues back on track. Yeah, a lot has happened since the last Champions League. A lot has happened since Ramos almost broke Salah’s arm in the 2017-18 UCL Final in Kiev.
But finally, the greatest competition in the World is back. And I decided to predict all of the match results throughout the whole European Competition. Well, let’s get started!
Barcelona – PSV
Unfortunately, nowadays, PSV are not able to hurt the Catalan club, which are the favorites to win this game. I would bet in an easy Barcelona win.
Internazionale – Tottenham
After years without European Football, Inter Milan are back and have in both Mauro Icardi and Lautaro Martinez their hopes to overcome the tough Spurs, led by Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, and Lucas Moura. We have to take into consideration that the Italians will be playing at home. With that said, both teams will probably share points in this match.
Club Brugge – Dortmund
I think the Belgian Club will not cause Dortmund any harm and the German side will probably return home with the three points.
Schalke 04 – Porto
One of the most equal games is this one between the German side and the Portuguese champions. I’m expecting a draw, however, it’s likely that Porto can dare to dream with the three points.
Monaco – Atletico Madrid
Even playing at home, Monaco is not the same as the one who made it to the UCL semi-finals a few seasons ago. They lost their main player – Thomas Lemar – to exactly the same Spanish side, Atletico Madrid. Simeone’s men will bag a win.
Liverpool – PSG
After a magical season where the Reds enchanted the whole World with their front-three playing a hell of a season and playing at their fortress in England, I cannot see a team at this moment that is able to beat Liverpool at Anfield. The atmosphere will be amazing and Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Bobby Firmino will beat Neymar and Mbappe.
Red Star Belgrade – Napoli
Napoli will have no problem at all beating Red Star, even playing at home. I would bet in 4-0 to Napoli.
Galatasaray – Lokomotiv Moscow
An even game, but the Turkish in general have a tradition to play excellent Football at home. Galatasaray wins this one.
Ajax – AEK Athens
One of the heavyweights of all times, the Dutch side Ajax, playing in front of their fans will surely get the job done and debut with a convincing victory over AEK.
Shakhtar Donetsk – Hoffenheim
Despite the Ukrainian side playing at home, a draw is much expected as Hoffenheim have been doing great in their last games since last season. I wouldn’t be surprised either if the Germans bagged the three points.
Real Madrid – Roma
This could have been the semi-finals confront or even the final of last UCL. However, the Gods of Football had another plan. Normally, Real Madrid would be the favorites, all day long. But, since they lost Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus, I think Roma will stop Los Blancos and will conquer the victory.
Valencia – Juventus
Okay, Valencia has been doing great, but not enough to beat Juve, even at home. Dybala and Ronaldo will step up and it will be probably a good kick off for Juve.
Benfica – Bayern
Would it be impossible to ask for a draw in here? Absolutely not. I can be terribly wrong, However, I think that following the fiasco Benfica were last season in the UCL, they will give their lives to make it to the round of 16 and as Bayern are naturally superior, a draw is a good call for this one.
Plzen – CSKA Moscow
The Russian side is favorite, and maybe they will win without a problem.
Manchester City – Lyon
English vs French. Will it be the start of the golden campaign for Guardiola’s men? I hope not! Haha. But since I’m doing a serious job, City will probably beat Lyon.
Young Boys – Manchester United
I’ve seen people saying the opposite I’m gonna say, but I think the Red Devils are the favorites to bag the win. However, it should be a good idea for Mourinho and United to get their eyes opened.
