Chelsea would be set to undergo a two-window transfer ban after being found to have broken rules in terms of the signings of underage players. The news will be a blow to the Blues, however, all is not lost. There are two players in particular who are currently out on loan that they must consider bringing back to the club ahead of next season.
1.- Kurt Zouma
Zouma is currently on loan with Premier League side Everton. He has so far made 25 Premier League appearances this season and scored one goal. The Frenchman has proven beyond doubt that he has what it takes to compete in the Premier League. With the Blues set to release veteran defender Gary Cahill at the end of the season, Chelsea must consider bringing back Zouma, who would be an apt replacement for Cahill
2.- Tammy Abraham
Abraham has been on loan with Aston Villa this season and has been one of the best strikers in the Championship. The 21-year-old has scored 21 goals for Dean Smith’s side this season from 32 Championship sides and recorded two assists. Chelsea is set to part ways with striker Olivier Giroud this summer. Giroud has mainly appeared off the bench this season and at 32-years-old, it is unlikely that he will be able to become a first-team regular.
The Frenchman wants to continue playing at the highest level for a few more years and has reportedly attracted the interest of Lyon in his homeland of France. Abraham would be a good replacement for Giroud. He is one of the most highly-rated young English talents.
The Blues would be best off giving Abraham a chance to shine for their first-team. He has shown signs that he could develop into a quality forward who could one day be worthy of being called up to the England squad.
