Newcastle is one of the most traditional clubs in English football and had great moments as a protagonist. However, in recent years the Magpies have been fighting against relegation in the Premier League.
This unpleasant scenario may change soon though. That’s because according to England’s The Telegraph newspaper, the traditional English club is set to be bought by Saudi Prince Mohamed Bin Salman.
The amount paid would be around 300 million pounds, as the Saudi Prince is fulfilling his dream to be the boss of the team from the north of England.
The current Newcastle owner accepted this offer, and part of the price we mentioned above would be financed by the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia.
We don’t need to say that money won’t be a problem for Newcastle in the upcoming seasons. With that said, a lot of Newcastle fans are already dreaming with multiple possibilities of signings big names. One of those big ones is Barcelona’s Antoine Griezmann.
It’s everything that a club who’s passing through a “Revolution” process needs. A star who really needs a career revolution as well, since the Frenchman’s career is on a sharp fall since he completed his move to Barcelona.
On top of that, it should be a dream for every professional player who aspires to become one of the best in the world, is to play for the best league in the world. The Premier League could be great for Griezmann, and I’m sure that the passionate Newcastle fans would take care of him much more than the Catalans ones.
It’s also said that the new agents are also in touch with Italian manager Massimiliano Allegri to command the Magpies.
Everyone should be happy with what’s to come for Newcastle. It’s a very traditional club, and it’s healthy for the League to have other major clubs other than always Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Man United.
