Egyptian League has witnessed many changes before the start of this season. Turki al-Sheikh, who is an advisor at the Royal Court under the rank of Minister, Chairman of the General Authority of Sport in Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the Sports Federation of the Islamic Solidarity Games, took over Al-Assiouty Sport and transformed it into Pyramids FC.
This move made the fans of Al-Ahly angry (b React very sad now) because Turki al-Sheikh cut the financial support of their club and attacked Captain Mahmoud El-Khateeb, the Chairman of Al-Ahly, along with many others.
Not just that, Turki al-Sheikh supported Zamalek FC which is the rival of Al-Ahly and bought many professional players to the club such as the Tunisian defensive midfielder Ferjani Sassi, the Tunisian right back Hamdi Nagguez, the Moroccan center forward Hamid Ahaddad, and the Swiss professional football manager Christian Gross so making the professional men working in Al-Ahly so angry and sad.
Turki al-Sheikh also made a very strong team out of Pyramids FC. Unlike Al-Ahly channel, the Pyramids FC channel has brought many famous broadcasters like Medhat chalaby and Afifi in addition the channel transmits the matches of its team but Al-Ahly channel has been looking for sponsor to get some men to work in the channel.
We call Pyramids FC the Egyptian Man City because of the huge number of superstars in the team and the huge amount of money paid for them.
The team has 2 international Egyptian players played in the world cup; Ali Gbr and Omar Gaber besides the great goalkeeper Ahmed El-Shenaway (who did not play the world cup because of the injury).
The team also contains big names regarding the Egyptian league such as Keno, Rodriguinho Marinho, and Ribamar.
The competition this year is different because it will not only be about football. Al-Ahly wants to win this particular league because it will say that it is the best team in Egypt whatever the amount of money given to the competitors. Zamalek SC wants to win the league because of the strong team it has this year. And of course, Pyramids wants the league to make the best of the huge amount of money paid.
