For matchday 22 in the French League, leaders PSG welcomed Montpellier at the Parc des Princes and demolished them in a 5-0 rout. The highlight of the match was Brazilian Neymar, who had another good performance, with assistance for the fourth goal, from Kylian Mbappe. Angel Di Maria also scored.

Thus, the team of German coach Thomas Tuchel continues with an advantage in the top of the league, reaching 55 points. Second-placed Olympique de Marseille has 43.

The halt was broken after eight minutes into the match, in a beautiful finish from outside the box from Spaniard Pablo Sarabia. On 17 minutes, young goalkeeper Dimitry Bertaud was sent off for touching the ball outside the area.

Being already 1-0 down at the Parc des Princes, and down to 10-man, the difficult mission got almost impossible for visitors Montpellier. In the 41st minute, Argentine star Di Maria doubled the lead for PSG, through a classy effort with the external part of his feet, after receiving from Pablo Sarabia.

There was still time for the third goal in the first half, as on 44, defender Daniel Congre scored an own goal in an unfortunate attempt to clear a corner. 3-0 PSG.

The Parisians kicked-off the second half and Mbappe was truly on fire. The Frenchman hit the post in a classy looping finish over the goalkeeper in the initial minutes. A few moments later, the 2018 World Cup revelation grabbed his goal after receiving a pass from Neymar and rounding the keeper. 4-0 PSG.

Layvin Kurzawa scored the fifth and completed the rout. Argentine Mauro Icardi replaced Mbappe, who left visibly irritated and argued with the coach, which could lead to a punishment for the French idol.

Tuchel also introduced Cavani, and Montpellier also had another player sent off, as Joris Chotard was sent off for a bad challenge on Neymar. However, the game ended up 5-0 for PSG.
