Hello, my name is Ole Gunnar Solskjær … And I have just deluded an entire city.

Yes, well. I have been in charge of directing Manchester United since the dismissal of Jose Mourinho. I mean, I have less than a week in the job.

I had good experiences in Norway with Molde. I had other not so good ones in Cardiff.

If it were not for these conditions, perhaps my arrival at Old Trafford would have been impossible. But it happened, I’m here and I just made one of the biggest fans in the world smile. I think I achieved one of the most difficult goals.

My first -and only- chapter of this story was written in Cardiff, because nothing is a coincidence.

I had to crush the team in which I trained and once led. I achieved a feat that since the era of Sir Alex Ferguson nobody had been able to repeat: score five goals in a game. And only one match was enough.

In fact, they were less than 90 minutes.

I did not have time to change or create a new game system. But I could converse with the players and restore that confidence that they lacked so much in their faces. It was necessary for them to believe again.

Wayne Rooney, my good friend, helped me a bit in that regard. I recognize that his influence is barbaric. Not every day a guy like Wayne speaks to you, even less about Manchester United and its meaning.

On the other hand, I highlighted the players who can contribute the most in the scheme: Paul Pogba case. My team will play and strengthen the French, as well as he will give back and we will all be better.

When a player like him is inspired, nothing can make the opponent.

I will sign in January, because it would not be possible to reach the level we want without strengthening the areas that most need new faces. At the end of the day, we are Manchester United; we spend money and win trophies.

My story is just beginning, and although it has an end date, I will do my best to write a second part. Up to a third …

My name is Ole, and I am sure that I can change all this.
