Barcelona fans were having a very good time this Saturday (the 20th of October). They were winning the match against Sevilla at the amazing Camp Nou, for the 9th round of La Liga, by 2×0, with goals of Philippe Coutinho and Lionel Messi. However, things soon got very bad. The victory came, a good victory by 4×2 and with that the first place on the championship, but, at the 15th minute, they have to watch the Argentine star Lionel Messi fell down on his own arm an ended up being subbed off, giving place to Ousmane Dembele.
Fans had to wait until the end of the match to find out what happened. On Twitter, Barcelona dropped a terrible statement. Messi suffered a fracture on the radius of his right arm. According to the doctors, he will be out for three weeks, which means he is probably going to miss a total of six matches, being two for the Champions League, one for the “Copa del Rey” and three for the Spanish Championship.
Unfortunately, for the Catalonians, the number 10 won’t be able to help them on the two matches against Internazionale, for the UEFA Champions League, and the important “El clásico”, the derby against Real Madrid.
The doctors said, on the press conference after the match, that the main goal is to have Messi back on the 24th of November, to the match against Atletico Madrid for the 13th round of La Liga.
Barcelona fans surely hope this to happen. And the question that remains is: will Barcelona be able to handle these three weeks without Lionel Messi?!
