This Sunday, Inter Milan welcomed Bologna for matchday 30 of the Serie A TIM. At the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, the hosts lost their first match since the return of the League, as the visitors got a good comeback and left with a 2-1 win. Romelu Lukaku scored for the home side, while Musa Juwara and Musa Barrow guaranteed the three points to the away team.
The first half was pretty much balanced. As expected, the Nerazzurri were the ones to try to take control of the match. And honestly, it didn’t take that long before they broke the deadlock. At the 22nd minute, Ashley Young received on the left and crossed into the box. Lukaku was able to get Lautaro Martinez’s header’s rebound and put the ball into the back of the net.
After suffering the goal, the Rossoblu tried to go for an equalizer and had a very good chance with Riccardo Orsolini. However, the number 7 was stopped by goalkeeper Samir Handanovic. With that, Inter went to the locker room with a small advantage on the scoring.
As the second half started, the visitors became way more incisive. It was clear that they wanted to at least leave with a draw. But this got a little more complicated for them as, at the 57th minute, Roberto Soriano saw a red card and left his team with 10 players.
With one less on the field, Bologna had to work hard to find the back of the net, counting with goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski to avoid further damage. And the number 28 did a great job, even saving Lautaro’s penalty shot and also Roberto Gagliardini’s attempt after the rebound.
That’s was probably what gave them the strength to keep on fighting and they were rewarded with an equalizer at the 74th minute. After some confusion in Inter’s defense, Juwara got the ball into the edge of the box and hit a strong shot into the bottom left corner.
3 minutes later, the hosts saw things getting worse for them when Alessandro Bastoni saw the second yellow card. With the same amount of players on both sides, the visitors were able to get the turnaround at the 80th minute. After receiving free on the left, Barrow put the ball into the back of the net to guarantee the three points to the Rossoblu.
With the 2-1 victory, Bologna went up to the 9th place, with 41 points. Meanwhile, Inter Milan stopped at 64 points, remaining in 3rd place.
