Southampton and Manchester United confronted each other this Saturday, at the St. Mary’s Stadium for Matchweek 14 in the Premier League. Stuart Armstrong and Cedric Soares scored for the Saints, as Romelu Lukaku and Ander Herrera scored for the Red Devils in a bustling first half in Southampton.

In a terrible circumstance in the League, Southampton appeared to be frantic to score early and control their emotional side all through the match, and it worked. At the thirteenth, Michael Obafemi passed it to Armstrong, who opened home into the far corner past David De Gea. 1-0 Southampton.

The hosts doubled their lead at the twentieth, in an ideal free-kick from Cedric, the ball went directly to the top corner of De Gea, making the St. Mary beat. 2-0 Saints.

Be that as it may, Southampton supporters would not celebrate for a really long time. At the 33rd minute, Marcus Rashford triggered Lukaku, who pulled a goal back for United in a smart finish into the top corner. 2-1

The Red Devils could level things up just six minutes after the fact. Rashford was again included, and this time, he helped Herrera, who slotted home past Alex McCarthy, at the close post.

After the break, we saw a poor match as in terms of skills, however, the two groups continued battling for the third goal.

Luke Shaw had the better chance to score for the guests at the second half, with a shot from the edge of the case, however, it went wide.

Southampton’s best shots were through Nathan Redmond and Armstrong, however, the scoring remained 2-2 thereafter.

Following this draw, United stay on seventh, with 22, as the Saints are presently the eighteenth, with 9. Southampton’s next match will be against Tottenham on Wednesday, at Wembley, as United face Arsenal, on the same day, at the Old Trafford.
