The European season is stopped due to the Coronavirus. So the similarity to the preseason is quite similar. And with that, Juventus has shown interest in extending Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract until 2024. By then, the Portuguese star will turn 39 years old. It is also worth remembering that the striker’s current contract with the Italian club goes until 2022.
At the age of 35, the player does not show a decline in his career, quite the opposite, the player has excellent numbers in the 2019-20 season. The player already has 25 goals in 32 games and he equalized to Juve’s great legends
For normal players, playing until 39 years old is almost impossible. However, as long as Cristiano Ronaldo is motivated to do his job, I believe he could go up to his 50’s. That would be totally mental, but I see it happening.
Especially due to a reason that may be strong enough for the former Real Madrid legend: His son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, wants to play professional football for the same club as his dad.
In some massively shared recent footage released throughout the internet, CR7’s little one is putting quite a show, with tremendous shooting skills for a boy his age. Ronaldo Jr, who was born in 2010, is partially making his dream coming true, as he’s playing for Juventus in the Italian club’s U-10s.
However, he obviously wants more…
It’s been said that the Old Lady is also looking for a new striker to form a duo with Ronaldo, with the likes of Timo Werner, Gabriel Jesus, and Lautaro Martinez on the radar.
Juventus is still leading the Serie A, with 63 points, one ahead of Lazio. It’s almost sure that the European leagues will, somehow, complete the current season when possible, and with such a tight title race, Juventus could benefit out of it. Just let’s wait and see if Ronaldo will keep playing for Juventus until 2024, and if he will be able to play, at least for a game, alongside with Ronaldo Jr.
