Closing matchday 28 of Serie A TIM, Parma welcomed Inter Milan this Sunday. At the Ennio Tardini Stadium, the hosts were able to score first but saw the visitors get a comeback and leave with a 2-1 victory. Gervinho opened the scoring to Parma, while Stefan de Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni guaranteed the three points to Inter.
The visitors started the first half better, having more the ball and creating chances. They could have opened the scoring in the early minutes, with Lautaro Matinez, put the Argentine sent the ball wide.
After a few minutes, the hosts were able to equalize the match and then took control of the attacking plays. With that, at the 15th minute, they broke the deadlock with Gervinho. After a good individual play, the Ivorian rounded the defense and put the ball into the back of the net to put his team ahead on the scoring.
The rest of the first half was busy, with both teams having good opportunities. Parma were closer to a second goal than Inter to an equalizer. But in the end, they went to the locker room with the same 1-0 on the scoreboard.
The beginning of the second half was pretty much like the first. The Nerazzurri dominating the offensive actions, but not quite being able to bring much danger. After some time, the hosts took control of the match once again and just didn’t double their lead because of some good saves from goalkeeper Samir Handanovic.
In the end, all the work from the Slovenian keeper paid off, as Inter were able to score twice in the late minutes. First, at the 84th minute, Lautaro deflected the ball inside the box after a corner and de Vrij appeared to put it into the back of the net. Then, 3 minutes later, Victor Moses crossed the ball perfectly to Bastoni, who headed the ball into the goal to complete the comeback.
With the 2-1 victory, Inter Milan reached 61 points, remaining in 3rd place. Meanwhile, Parma stopped at 39 points, in 9th place.
