In the last week, Frenchman Antoine Griezmann was strongly linked to Paris Saint-Germain. As a result, the striker would be involved in a swap-deal between Barcelona and PSG, as the Parisians would concede Neymar back to the Catalan giants.
Some other French internationals were offered by Barcelona in order to land the Neymar return, including Ousmane Dembele and Samuel Umtiti, who were recently pointed out as having indiscipline acts in the Catalan squad.
However, according to the Spanish newspaper ‘Mundo Deportivo’, the Barcelona’s number 17, Antoine Griezmann, would have rejected the PSG deal because of his love for Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille.
As a result, last Wednesday, the Frenchman posted a video of his son wearing an Olympique de Marseille jersey, one of PSG’s main rival. Thus, according to the newspaper’s publication, this could be a hint to Barcelona’s board directors that in France, Griezmann would only play for Marseille.
“We have our 9,” wrote Griezmann in the caption of his published video on his Instagram account, in which he also mentioned Marseille.
Griezmann is in his first season at Barcelona, but he has still not convinced.
He apparently suffered from the Philippe Coutinho virus, as this virus only strikes Football players who betray their clubs to move for a money-making utopia but ends up as one of the major flops in European Football history.
Joking aside, the former Atletico Madrid striker has had his plans deeply frustrated due to his lack of minutes and frequent matches seeing Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez shining on the field from the bench, and an Olympique de Marseille move would be great for the Frenchman. However, it’s clearly not happening, and if Barcelona really wants to get Neymar back, Griezmann will be forced to move to Paris Saint-Germain.
