Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe has been frequently seeing his name getting speculated in other European giants. Among them, clubs like Real Madrid and Liverpool monitor the Frenchman’s situation.
Thus, Willy Sagnol, former French defender and multi-champion for Bayern Munich, commented on the possibility of the youngster French striker being negotiated.
Sagnol expressed his opinion on how interesting it would be for Mbappe to be coached by German coach Jurgen Klopp, given that the winger does not work out his defensive aspect so well.
“This club has an advantage. Klopp is a coach that every player in the world would like to work with. Mbappe would have to adapt to the Jurgen Klopp way. It requires a lot of defensive effort from his strikers, something that Mbappe doesn’t know how to do very well yet,” – he said.
However, in the same interview with SportBild, the Frenchman made a point of making it clear how positive a move for the young striker would be. Thus, he believes that adapting to the tactical scheme used by Klopp would make the striker some kind of a ‘king’ in England.
He can learn from that, especially from a guy like Klopp. At Liverpool, under Jurgen Klopp, Mbappe would be a king. ” – he stated.
It would be really nice to see Mbappe teaming up with the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, and being coached by Jurgen Klopp at Anfield. It could really take him to the next level, and he could finally have a real chance of lifting the long-awaited UEFA Champions League trophy, as it seems that it’s hard to do so at PSG.
Jokings aside, Jurgen Klopp got himself in touch with Kylian Mbappe on the phone, but I personally see a move from the Reds as very unlikely, due to the uncertainty caused by the covid-19 pandemic.
