Mo Salah, Amrabat, Khazri and Muwalad those four players were supposed to be the Arab hope in this world cup. None of them was even moderate, the four of them were out of form, some can even say they were useless.

Mo Salah didn’t play the first match against Uruguay because of his shoulder injury but he played the full 90 minutes of Russia match and he was one of the worst players in the field in spite of scoring a penalty, most of his passes were wrong and he wasn’t even mentally fit.

Amrabat wasn’t as bad as Salah but wasn’t the player we were waiting for, he wasn’t impressive.

Khazri was the best Arabian player but he didn’t contribute by anything other than running. To be fair Muwalad didn’t even show to world cup, in two matches we didn’t see Muwalad a normal player, instead he was pulling the team back.

To be fair Egypt and Saudi Arabia were too weak to be in the world cup, on the other hand, Tunisia and Morocco were good teams as a group of players but the lack of defensive discipline and the fear of attack cost the two teams points. Tunisia is now the Arab last hope if they can secure the points against one of the best in the world, the Belgium team.

What was obvious in this world cup was the Arab fear of all the teams and the biggest problem was the air balls. Now all the Arab all behind Amrabat and his fellows to secure a next round place for Arabs although it’s impossible to beat the Belgium team.

Egypt to be more specific was expected to do a lot but the tactics they used with the fear of losing and over respect of other teams caused Egypt to look like if they didn’t even deserve to be in the world cup. Algeria will still be the best Arab representor in the world cup unless Tunisia woke up and started to put some effort and play some attacking football.
