The coach of Inter Milan, Luciano Spaletti, has criticized the midfielder Radja Nainggolan for lack of professionalism and commitment to football after a 1-0 win over Empoli on Saturday (29th).
“Radja has a focus on other things and when you put a lot of priorities first then the football, you do not get anything. He has three or four things as top priorities, and some of them have to be left aside.” Spaletti said during his interview.
The Belgian was the protagonist of a controversial audio that appeared on the press in which he says that the fans of Inter Milan were very demanding and, because of that, he would like to return to Roma, the team that he defended between 2014 and 2018, when he was transferred during the Summer Transfer Window.
The coach also talked about the relationship of the club with the player and that the warnings serve a good purpose.
“We love him, he is a sensitive person and he has all the qualities of someone who behaves well, but even parents warn their children”, said the Nerazzurri coach about the Belgian.
For Inter, in this season, Naiggolan has scored a total of 3 goals, being 2 in the Italian Championship, the Serie A, and 1 in the UEFA Champions League, and played 16 matches. It is not such good stats for an attacking midfielder, but his number of goals in Serie A is close to his last season stats, in which he scored just 4 goals for Roma.
Maybe, if he focuses only on football, as Spaletti is asking him, his performances will improve and his football will show up again. Because he is a good player and can help Inter a lot during this season.
