This Saturday, Brescia welcomed Roma for matchday 32 of the Serie A TIM. At the Mario Rigamonti Stadium, the visitors showed authority and left with the three points after a good 3-0 victory. The goals were scored by Federico Fazio, Nikola Kalinic, and Nicolo Zaniolo.
Roma started to show their dominance already in the first half. They had more the ball and were the ones creating the opportunities, however, were not able to take the zero off of the scoreboard. And with that, the teams went to the locker room goalless.
In the second half things kept the same, except for the fact that the visitors were finally able to break the deadlock. Already at the 48th minute, after a corner, the ball was left to Federico Fazio, who sent a strong left-footed shot into the goal. Goalkeeper Lorenzo Andrenacci almost made the save, but the ball crossed the line. 1-0 to Roma.
The team from the capital kept on putting pressure on their opponents and managed to double their lead at the 62nd minute. Carles Perez found Kalinic inside the box and, passing between two markers, the number 19 controlled the ball and hit from close range, without any chances to the keeper to save.
The visitors were still able to find the back of the net one more time, at the 74th minute. Zaniolo received the ball from Diego Perotti and left the markers behind to send a strong shot into the left corner.
After suffering the third goal, the hosts finally woke up and were able to threaten Antonio Mirante’s goal, obligating the goalkeeper to make at least one difficult save. However, they were not able to find their consolation and the match ended 3-0 to the away team.
With the victory, Roma reached 54 points but remain in 5th place. Meanwhile, Brescia stopped at 21 points, in 19th place.
