This Wednesday, Sassuolo welcomed Juventus for matchday 33 of the Serie A TIM. With a total of 6 goals, both teams played an exciting match and shared points after a 3-3 draw. Filip Duricic, Domenico Berardi, and Francesco Caputo scored for the hosts. Danilo, Gonzalo Higuain, and Alex Sandro scored for the visitors.
The first half started very busily. Already at the 5th minute, the visitors broke the deadlock with Danilo. The Brazilian received a corner into the edge of the box and hit a beautiful shot into the back of the net to open the scoring.
7 minutes later, Juve increased their lead. After a long ball from Miralem Pjanic, Higuain went face-to-face with goalkeeper Andrea Consigli and hit into the far post to score the second.
After suffering two goals, the hosts started to attack and create chances. In a matter of minutes, they took control of the match and were able to diminish their disadvantage at the 29th minute. After some confusion inside Juventus’ box, the ball was left to Duricic, who sent a strong shot into the top corner with no chances to goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.
In the second half, it was Sassuolo’s turn to star better and score an early goal. Already at the 51st minute, they equalized the scoring with Berardi. The number 25 hit such a beautiful free-kick that Szczesny didn’t even react to it and the ball hit the back of the net.
3 minutes later, they got the comeback. Berardi received on the right and shot into the far post. The ball was going wide, but Caputo appeared on the last moment to push it into the back of the net and score the third goal for the hosts.
Unfortunately, their lead didn’t last that long. At the 64th minute, the Old Lady found the equalizer with Alex Sandro. After a corner, the number 12 appeared in the near post to head it into the back of the net and complete the scoring.
