For matchday 27 of Serie A Tim, which marked the League’s return, Bologna welcomed Juventus this Monday. At the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium, the visitors were able to get a 2-0 victory even with one less player. Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala scored the goals for the Old Lady.
The away team was the brighter side in the first half, almost opening the scoring during the early minutes. They had the best opportunities and showed their dominance with many offensive plays. And after insisting so much, Juve found the perfect opportunity to break the deadlock. At the 23rd minute, with the help of VAR, they were awarded a penalty. CR7 stepped up and converted from the spot with a strong shot in the middle of the goal.
The hosts even tried to search for an equalizer, but they just couldn’t manage to bring danger to their opponent’s defense. The Old Lady, on the other hand, kept on attacking and were able to double their lead at the 36th minute, when Dybala hit the top corner, not giving chances to goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski.
The second half was a bit different, with Bologna running after a goal to give them at least a chance of equalizing the match. However, the only things they actually got were a sequence of corners and some shots, but no goals. The visitors suffered a little, but also had a few opportunities to increase the difference. They just didn’t score again because of their lack of aim.
In the last minutes, Ronaldo had a goal ruled out and Juventus lost Danilo, who saw his second yellow card. However, nothing changed and the visitors won by 2-0
With the victory, Juventus reached 66 points and open a four-point advantage for second place Lazio. Bologna, on the other hand, stayed in the 10th position, with 34 points.
