Pulisic stole a ball in midfield, drove forward and struck a powerful shot into the left corner of the goalkeeper, who could do nothing. Still, in the early stages, the North-American doubled the advantage of the Blues. At 44 ‘, the midfielder received a ball at the edge of the area, cut the defender and fired home into the low corner of Pope. 0-2 Chelsea.

In the second half, the outlook remained the same and Frank Lampard’s team turned the victory into a rout. On 56 mins, Pulisic scored a header and reached the perfect hat-trick – the first with the left foot and the second with the right. Two minutes later, Tammy Abraham fed Brazilian Willian, who went on to make it 0-4 Chelsea.

At the end of the match, at 86′ and 89′, Burnley lowered the score through Jay Rodrguez and McNeil respectively. However, it was too late for a reaction.

With the 2-4 win, Chelsea remained in the fourth position in the table, now with 20 points. In the next round, the Blues play again away from home against Watford but they have a midweek match against Manchester United for the English League Cup, or Carabao Cup, as you wish.
