Liverpool seems to have decided the fate of 23-year-old Harry Wilson. The youngster Welshman, who’s got absurd long-range shooting skills, is on loan for two seasons, and with all the crisis and amid the uncertainty caused by the pandemic, the Liverpool board agreed on letting the Welshman extend his Bournemouth loan.

Treated by many as a young promise in Liverpool, Harry Wilson has been on a loan streak to prove that he can finally join Jurgen Klopp’s main squad. Therefore, the player’s last two seasons were to show evolution and growth.

In the 2018-19 season, he had an excellent season in the EFL Championship, wearing the Derby Country shirt, under Frank Lampard, as he ended up scoring 18 goals.

However, in the current season, Harry Wilson was loaned to Premier League side Bournemouth. That way, he can have a real taste of facing the domestic opponents the Reds are used to.

Wearing the Bournemouth jersey, Wilson has shown yet another consistent season and is considered as a key player in the team, having scored seven goals so far.

During his loan period, Wilson has always been in touch with a Liverpool representative and guarantees that he has not been forgotten by the clubs. The player also revealed receiving messages from Klopp and how it motivates him to play better.

“It’s good to know when you’re on loan and your actual club doesn’t forget about you. He (Klopp) said he is watching me and, after I scored against Manchester City, he congratulated me on the goal. He texted and said ‘great free-kick!”

However, even with recent seasons at a high level, Wilson is unlikely to be integrated into Liverpool’s main squad right away. This is due to the fact that the team agreed to extend the loan with Bournemouth, at first, until the end of the current Premier League, that is, until July.

That way, the player does not need to return to Liverpool now and can finish helping the Cherries to achieve their goal.

On the other hand, thinking about the next season, Harry Wilson’s fate is unknown. The main reason for not moving to Anfield next season is that, despite all his quality and unquestionable evolution, the team already has many players in his position.

However, I think that Klopp could give him a chance, for at least playing the domestic cups. I mean, during this season, Liverpool had such a busy schedule that hey had to lineup their C team in a domestic Cup quarterfinal. It’s hard to say that Wilson will have enough game time, but at least he can show his worth in these “least important games”.
