Likely to miss out on the Arkadiusz Milik transfer race, Italian giants Juventus have been thinking of a backup plan for the Pole forward. Maurizio Sarri’s club are looking sounding Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette out, as the Frenchman is seen as a good piece to link up with both Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala.
As Milik belongs to Napoli, there’s certain resistance from part of the Southern Italy club, as they don’t intend to reinforce a direct domestic rival. So Juventus have contacted Arsenal to monitor Lacazette’s situation.
Besides the French forward, there’s yet another Gunners’ striker, who would be Gabo international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but this one is much closer to signing a new Arsenal contract, so it’s unlikely a formal move will happen from part of the Old Lady.
Going back to Lacazette’s situation, there are yet two other clubs interested in him. They are Italy’s Internazionale, and Spain’s Atletico Madrid, with the latter considering involving another Frenchman, Thomas Partey, in a swap-deal plus money.
France international Lacazetter arrived at Arsenal back in 2017 for £52.6 million, becoming the most expensive signing in the club’s history up to that time. However, after a great season back in Ligue 1, Lacazette has been struggling to even get into Arsenal starters. I mean… It’s Arsenal. How can’t you get into that ridiculous Arsenal eleven?
Curiously, he just scored against Wolverhampton back in the last Premier League matchday in Arsenal’s 2-0 away win, but still… It’s far from good from one of the most expensive players in Arsenal history.
Wearing the Gunners kit, the number 9 has 121 games played, 46 goals scored, and 22 assists. In the current season there are 33 matches and 10 goals. Despite participating in most of the team’s matches this season, the Frenchman’s performances have not been considered as satisfying, and Arsenal fans are not happy with him.
Well, I believe Lacazette would fit in the Juventus and Sarri system, and his forward skills would stand out playing with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, and Dybala.
