Internazionale keeps eyeing the market in order to find some players for the continuation of the season and, obviously, for next season.
With the final sale of Mauro Icardi to Paris Saint-Germain and a probable departure of Lautaro Martinez, maybe to Barcelona, the Italian club is making their best to find a possible replacement for them.
According to the Italian newspaper “La Gazzetta Dello Sport”, the Nerazzuri became interested in the Italian striker Federico Chiesa. He is 22 years old and is currently playing for Fiorentina.
However, Inter is not alone in the fight for Fiorentina’s jewel. The player is also wanted by the great Juventus and also for Manchester United, from England.
The Old Lady seems him a possible replacement for Gonzalo Higuain, who is leaving the team. On the other hand, the Red Devils need a new number 9 on their team, and they see Chiesa as the main player for this.
If Federico Chiesa becomes impossible for the Milan club, they have other options for the attack, even though these are considered secondary. One of them is the Uruguayan Edinson Cavani, who probably will leave PSG. Pierre-Emerick Aubamyang, from Arsenal, is also a possible striker.
However, both of them are not exactly what the club expects, mainly due to their age. Cavani is already 32 years old, while Aubameyang is just two years younger. So, as Inter want to make their squad younger, Fiorentina’s jewel makes the perfect option.
Since the beginning of his professional career, which was in 2016, Federico Chiesa has already participated in a total of 123 matches for Fiorentina, scoring 21 goals. For his country, the 22-year-old striker appeared on the National Team since the U-19. For the senior squad, he played a total of 17 matches and scored just a single goal.
