Chelsea secured a place in next Champions League season after it defeated Watford while Arsenal drew against Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Blues recorded a comfortable victory after Ruben Loftus-Cheek, David Luiz and Gonzalo Higuain all managed to find the back of the net. The win leaves Chelsea in the fourth place on the standings with 71 points and 5 ahead of Arsenal.
Brighton managed to hold Arsenal to a 1-1 draw. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang managed to open the scoring for the Gunners during the first-half from the penalty spot, however, Glenn Murray got to equalize for the Seagulls also from a penalty kick during the second half.
Chelsea has now ensured that it will be in next seasons of Champions League. The final place in the Champions League will now be a contest between the Spurs and Arsenal. As long as Spurs do not experience a heavy defeat against Everton during their final game of the season next week, it should be theirs.
