Apparently, polemic Italian striker Mario Balotelli is getting himself involved in yet another sad chapter on his Football career. That’s because he apparently had his Brescia contract terminated this last Friday. According to the Italian website ‘La Gazzetta Dello Sport’, the 29-year-old was fired from the club.
The reason for the contract termination would be Balotelli’s frequent absences in Brescia’s training sessions. In his own defense, the striker said that he missed training sessions for health issues.
According to the Italian website, Balotelli was notified by email that his contract has been terminated with the club. Thus, the player doesn’t even need to return to the club training ground to resolve papers and bureaucracy questions.
In addition to Balotelli’s absence in last week’s activities at the training center, in the training period between March and April, where activities were carried out by videoconference, Brescia said that the player had a negligent attitude during the first training period.
For the Italian club, Balotelli played 19 matches, having scored just five goals in that period. In addition, the player is apparently on the radar of the MLS club Los Angeles Galaxy and he was also criticized in an interview with the newspaper ‘Corriere Dello Sport’ by Brescia’s chairman, Massimo Cellino.
In the interview, the president says that everything could have worked out, but he personally, unfortunately, ended up getting disappointed with the player:
“I thought that here, close to his mother, in his city, with the looming desire to return to the Italian national team, everything could work out. But there was nothing to do. I lost a bet and very badly ”, said Massino.
It’s sad that it has come to this, and there’s room for debates, but Mario Balotelli is becoming a new Adriano or Ronaldinho. It’s unquestionable that the skills are there, but there is no commitment to Football, especially when it comes to training, so it makes things way harder for Balo, who I personally used to like as a player, but he’s been disappointing me lately.
