After being absolutely battered by Manchester City in the 5-1 away defeat in the UEFA Champions League midweek game, Atalanta showed great resilience and came back on Sunday to make their fans up at the Italian Serie A. In the Matchday 9, the Bergamo side beat Udinese 7-1, with three goals from Colombian striker Luis Muriel, who previously played for Udine’s club.
With the result, Atalanta reached 20 points and moved up to third place in the tournament. Juventus are the leaders with 23, one more than second-placed Inter Milan. To complete the Top four, Napoli, who drew with SPAL on Sunday and counts on 17 points. Udinese has 10 in the middle of the table.
In addition to the elastic score, the clash also had a turnaround, as the visitors took the lead in the 11th minute, through the Italian striker Stefano Okaka.

At 47, Muriel scored once again, making it 4-1. The Colombian would still score one more, again from the penalty spot. Croatian midfielder Mario Pasalic and Ivorian striker Amad Traore completed the 7-1 thrashing.
With the goals, Muriel got to eight goals in the Italian league. He’s only one goal behind striker Ciro Immobile, who counts on nine goals so far, and is the top scorer.
