AC Milan hosted Parma for matchday 33 of the Serie A TIM. At the San Siro Stadium, the visitors opened the scoring, but the hosts were able to get the comeback and leave with a 3-1 victory. Jasmin Kurtic opened the scoring to the visitors, while Franck Kessie, Alessio Romagnoli, and Hakan Calhanoglu guaranteed the three points to the Rossoneri.
The first half started with the home team being the brighter side. Already in the early minutes, they started to create chances and almost opened the scoring with Giacomo Bonaventura, but the Italian player was in an offside position and the goal was ruled out. Meanwhile, Parma didn’t really threaten their opponents, with goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma not even have to make difficult saves.
However, football is not always logical and, at the 44th minute, the deadlock was broken by the visitors. On their first attempt on target, Kurtic received the ball from Alberto Grassi and hit into the back of the net. With that, they went with a small advantage to the locker room.
The hosts started the second half the same way they did during the first, having more the ball and creating opportunities. This time, however, they were able to score. Already at the 55th minute, they equalized the scoring with Kessie. The number 79 sent a beautiful shot from outside the box into the top corner, with no chances to goalkeeper Luigi Sepe.
They didn’t give time for the visitors to breathe after the goal and, 4 minutes later, completed the turnaround. Calhanoglu’s free-kick went perfectly to Romagnoli’s head and Milan’s captain put the ball into the back of the net.
The Gialloblu even tried to bother after that but didn’t really get close from scoring. Meanwhile, the Rossoneri were able to increase their lead at the 77th minute. Calhanoglu received on the right and tried from outside the box, hitting the ball into the far post and completing his team’s win.
With the 3-1 victory, AC Milan reached 53 points, the same as Napoli, but remain in 7th place. On the other hand, Parma stopped at 40 points, in 12th place.
