Raul Jimenez has been having outstanding seasons since he joined Wolverhampton. Because of that, several major clubs in Europe are interested in the Mexican striker. Most of them are in England, such as Tottenham, Manchester United, and Chelsea, but there is also Spanish giant Real Madrid keeping an eye on him.
Now, a new big club has emerged in a possible fight for the services of the striker. Maurizio Sarri, Juventus’ manager, wants the athlete as a possible replacement for Gonzalo Higuain in the attack of the Old Lady.
Sarri also keeps an eye on Argentine striker Mauro Icardi, and due to the Argentine price tag, Jimenez would be considered a low-cost option.
The main club interested in Raul Jimenez has been Manchester United, once they are really trying to create a better team for next season. Now, they have strong competition with the Italian team also interested in him. According to the portal “The Times”, the Old Lady are willing to fight for the player when the transfer window reopens.
The 29-year-old is a request of coach Maurizio Sarri, who is looking for options in the offensive sector to play with Cristiano Ronaldo, as Higuain may leave the club in the upcoming months.
However, there are other teams interested in the striker. According to the website “Don Balon”, Jimenez would also be the target of manager Zinedine Zidane as a new reinforcement of Real Madrid. His signing could be a replacement for Luka Jovic, who didn’t actually play well for Madrid and has been creating problems by ignoring the rules imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Going to Spain wouldn’t be anything new for the Mexican, once he played for Atletico Madrid between the years of 2014 and 2015.
With all the repercussions, the player had to talk about the subject. Jimenez appeared to be happy with his name being linked to so many big clubs, stating that it meant he was doing a good job. He also said that a proposal from Real Madrid is something you can’t ignore, but that staying in Wolverhampton also means fighting for a place on the Champions League.
