Following many negative results on the pitch, Niko Kovac could finally be sacked, according to some German reports. And the favorite name to replace the Croatian is the one of French manager Arsene Wenger.
Still, according to them, Bayern Munich will hold a press conference this Friday, and they will make a shocking announcement and this could be the matter.
In Germany, a lot of fans have been worried about Bayern’s poor performance lately. The German side lost two out of seven matches so far in the Bundesliga and are currently on 6th, four points behind the leaders Borussia Dortmund.
It should be okay for an average or even a “Modern day” club, but for Bayern, this is a complete disaster.
The report comes from German Bild and still according to them, club president Uli Hoeness, chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, and sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic will all attend the press conference, which will happen in the morning.
The last time these three attended a Press conference, was to announce that Jupp Heynckes was returning as manager.
Asked about the possibility of commanding the German giants, Wenger said:
“That’s not a topic for me. Uli Hoeness and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge trusted Niko Kovac and they have to hold on to him.”
However, the rumors say exactly the opposite. It’s also relevant to remember that when Wenger was in charge of Arsenal, he used to have bad luck against Bayern, mainly at European games.
Will it become concrete tomorrow? Let’s hope and see, but I think he will replace Mr. Kovac and take over Bayern Munich.
