First of all, after three months of no Football in Spain due to the pandemic, the Spanish League, or also known as La Liga, is back! Barcelona’s coach Quique Setien is apparently excited and looking forward to Football return in Spain.
In an interview with Catalunya Radio’s “Tot Costa” program, the Barcelona coach spoke out about the Catalan team:
“I have no doubts with Messi. As for Suarez, it would be unwise for him to play the entire game, as we need to avoid putting him at risk. We have to decide whether it is better to start or enter later. Suarez is an extraordinary football player, he meets conditions that anyone could use very well. He is participative, he presses rivals, he is constantly on the move and he is also highly effective in front of the goal, he is a great add up without a doubt.”
Besides talking about Barcelona’s main stars, Setien also admits that few players will be able to play the entire game.
“Although they are football players and used to two games a week, the question is how it will be after three months without competing. Now, in six days, we will have three games. The players spent three months without competing and without leaving home, it never happened. They really want to compete again, ” Setien added.
The Catalans will have their first La Liga game post-coronavirus this Saturday, away against Mallorca.
There are still 10 matchdays to go and Barcelona leads the League with 58 points, two points clear of Real Madrid, who is currently the 2nd place in the table. On the other hand, the relegation zone has Espanyol, Leganes, and Mallorca.
