Real Madrid remains active in the market in search of a young player for the midfield sector, to join the 21-year-old Uruguayan Federico Valverde. At the moment, their biggest target is Eduardo Camavinga, a young Frenchman who plays for Rennes.
However, according to ‘Tuttomercatoweb’, if they aren’t able to land the youngster athlete, their plan B is the 20-year-old Aurelien Tchouameni, who is currently playing for Monaco.
The dispute for Camavinga is big at the moment since clubs like Liverpool and PSG also want the young Frenchman. However, Real Madrid is willing to throw in money to bring the player to Spain.
According to the newspaper “Marca”, the Merengue team has been accompanying the player for over a year and is counting with the midfielder’s desire to play for the Spanish club. Because of that, the club believes that they have an advantage over its competitors.
Even with Real Madrid’s favoritism, signing, however, does not seem to be an easy task. That’s because Rennes is asking for 60 million euros to release the midfielder. Which can be much even for Real.
With the high values demanded by Camavinga, the Madrid agents analyze other names in the market. Consequently, the French talent factory is in full swing. Tchouameni arrived in Monaco earlier this year, bought from Bordeaux for 18 million euros. However, he played only a few times for the main club, with only three matches until the football stoppage, due to the pandemic.
However, even with few matches, his last season for Bordeaux drew a lot of attention from the Merengue club, in addition to the three matches for his new club. With that, Tchouameni is currently valued at 15 million euros, which is way less than Camavinga, and could be an investment made by the club in the next transfer window.
