The fans who went to the Bailados Stadium this Sunday to watch Celta Vigo and Sevilla certainly went back home with smiles on their faces. On a game for the matchday 23, the home side started 1-0 behind on the scoring with a goal from Youssef En-Nesyn. However, the goals from Iago Aspas and Pione Sisto guaranteed the comeback and the 2-1 victory.
Although the first dangerous chance of the match came from the hosts, with Aspas, it was Sevilla who opened the scoring. After a mistake from Lucas Olaza, at the 23rd minute, the Maroccan En-Nezyri stole the ball and came face to face with Ruben Blanco. The number 15 showed his skills shooting the ball over the goalkeeper and into the back of the net.
Before half-time, Blanco saw himself once again face to face to Sevilla player, but this time he prevailed and was able to make the save.
The home side came back to the second half more focused and started creating chances of danger more often. But the fans had to wait until the 78th minute to see the equalizer finally come. Aspas received a pass from Rafinha, rounded the Czech goalkeeper Tomas Vaclik and sent a shot on the far post to put Celta back to the game.
The draw didn’t seem bad, but a victory would be better. And with that in mind, the Celts continued attacking and were rewarded at the injury time. At 90+1, Sisto finished at the far corner and saw the ball hit the post before dying at the back of the net.
After this 2-1 comeback win, Celta Vigo is currently out of the relegation zone, occupying the 17th place with 20 points. Meanwhile, the Red and White lost their position in the Champions League, dropping down to 5th place, parked at 39 points.
Both teams will return to the field next Sunday, for matchday 24. Sevilla welcomes Espanyol at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. On the other hand, Celta travels to Madrid to face the leader Real at the Santiago Bernabeu.
