Frenchman Antoine Griezmann’s father was very angry at Barcelona’s coach Quique Setien after the manager benched the striker and introduced him with 90 on the clock in the La Liga clash against Griezmann’s former club Atletico Madrid.
Griezmann’s dad used his social media to throw some jabs straight in Setien’s face.
“To say the truth, you must have the keys to the truck and you are simply a passenger,” said the star’s father, who minutes later, deleted the post.
Griezmann’s brother also criticized Setien, saying that Barca made a huge investment for the striker, however, they do not know how to use the striker. Griezmann arrived in Barcelona for 120 million euros, a year ago, trying to make up for the fans’ disappointment with the Neymar departure and also with the Philippe Coutinho’s brief yet pathetic Barcelona’s one-year career.
In short, the Frenchman is still bitter and the possibility of a transfer at the end of the season is already being studied.
“I want to cry seriously,” commented his brother due to the Catalan team’s stance and the coach’s imposing such humiliation to his relative, Griezmann.
I’m not one of the few fans who still support Quique Setien, and I deeply think that he doesn’t have what it takes to lead Barcelona. Like, being 100% genuine, I fully believe that the Catalan giants’ border should look for a better replacement, such as Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola, or even to test their luck with Barcelona legend Xavi, who’s currently managing a club in the Middle-East.
I mean, Barcelona are already 4 points off La Liga leaders Real Madrid, and they depend on Lionel Messi to create everything for them. They’re just a one-man team but can’t admit it. If Leo can have other players to step up with and for him, I’m pretty sure he can still play a couple more of years at a high level wearing the Barce jersey and also grab some more trophies.
