The Libertadores Cup is the best tournament in America.
Some call it “the Champions of South America”; something with which I am completely against, but it serves to have -at least- a reference of what it means in the continent.
There is good football, a lot of passion and more problems.
It is a perfect representation of this side of the pond.
This edition has been special for several things, two of them stand out: they were the best teams in the continent (except San Lorenzo) and, for the first time, there are real possibilities to see a Boca – River in the final.
My dream, yours, one of the neighbors and one of all soccer fans.
Before, there are two rivals: Gremio and Palmeiras, Palmeiras and Gremio.
Gremio – River
The current champion faces the 2015 champion.
Their presents are good, although the balance inclines for the side of the Argentines.
Marcelo Gallardo’s team grows at important moments. No matter their state of form, are others when they reach these instances.
Just ask Boca …
But, on the other hand, Gremio has the base of the champions last year. They have known to similar the low one of Arthur (that now shines in the Camp Nou) and they continue competing.
Who will win?
Nothing is written, but for me …
River Plate.
Boca – Palmeiras
Los Boca – Palmeiras are always attractive. They were this year and they have been throughout history.
By the way, Palmeiras qualified with 16 points and Boca with 9. Both of the same group.
Their physical states, in addition, are completely different.
Palmeiras is finding a good game, his pieces understand the idea of Scolari and the team overwhelms its rivals.
Smart games, different approaches, accumulation of pieces in the opposite zone and many other things-
And Boca Juniors has no game!
The more than 600 leading days is a lie, those in Buenos Aires get results, but it does not have to show how.
Now, without a bright Pavón, the worry grows.
Although … “They got here for a reason.”
And for me, they say goodbye here too.
Forecast: Palmeiras.
Even here I am more confident than in the other key.
That is why it will be an almost, almost, almost historical Libertadores.
