Aaron Ramsey will be Juventus player from next season. The information was published by the English newspaper “The Guardian,” which ensured the existence of an agreement between the Arsenal midfielder and the Old Lady to sign a five-year contract.
Since Spanish manager Unai Emery took over Arsenal, Ramsey hasn’t really been given a chance to play for the Gunners. He’s set to leave Arsenal – Where he’s been for 10 years – for free, in the middle of the year. He could have signed a pre-contract since January, once his bond expires at the end of June.
According to the publication, Ramsey will receive the second highest salary of Juventus, about 140,000 pounds per week (7.2 million pounds annually). Obviously, he would be behind only from the great star Cristiano Ronaldo, who earns € 30 million annually. Still, pretty high numbers for a player who isn’t even playing. However, throughout his Arsenal and Welsh National Team – as he made it to the Semi-Final of the 2016 Eurocup – story, he has already shown that he is skilled enough to play with Ronaldo, Dybala, and company.
Ramsey’s hiring follows in the footsteps of the club’s philosophy of seizing market opportunities. In this decade, Juventus has already made several hirings in the same model – signing pre-contract six months after the end of the contract. The list also has some well-known names, such as Pirlo, Pogba, Dani Alves, Emre Can, Coman, and Khedira.
Ramsey will continue to defend Arsenal in the season in search of the England Cup and Europa League titles. So far, he has played 354 games and scored 61 goals in the Gunners’ shirt.
Maybe his move to Juventus will be good for himself, as he has such a great potential to feed CR7 and help Juve to conquer another European Competition.
