In the much expected Italian derby between Internazionale and Juventus at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, the visitors played better and snatched the three points. Juventus beat Internazionale 2-1 and defeated the so far unbeaten side in the Italian Serie A. Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain scored for the visitors, as Lautaro Martinez did it for the hosts. The Turin team reached 19 points and took the lead of Inter, who remains in second, with 18 points.

Juventus reached their first goal three minutes into the game. After the referee had given advantage to Juventus in a possible foul in Cristiano Ronaldo, the ball fell to Pjanic who gave Dybala a beautiful through ball. The Argentine striker controlled the ball and fired home, with no chances to Handanovic. 0-1 Juventus.

After opening the scoring, Juve did not slow down the pace and went to attack with Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese advanced on the left and fired into the crossbar. On 16, it was Inter’s turn to come in danger and get a penalty. Barella made a cross looking for Lautaro Martinez and the ball eventually hit De Ligt’s arm, who was marking the striker in the play.

The referee confirmed the pen helped by the VAR, as Lautaro had the chance to level for the hosts from the penalty spot. And he did it, slotting in the right corner past Szczesny. 1-1.

At the end of the first half, Cristiano Ronaldo came in danger again and scored what would be the second goal of the Old Lady. However, the goal was ruled out as Dybala received in an offside position before assisting CR7.

However, Juve got to their second goal, with 80 minutes. After a beautiful team-move from Cristiano Ronaldo, Betancur and Higuain. The good pass from the Portuguese to the Uruguayan, who plays in-depth to Higuain. Even marked by the defense, the Argentine takes the lead and finds the far-corner in a good finish. 1-2 Juventus.

What a win from Juventus. They beat Internazionale, who were displaying the best football in Italy so far, and at the Giuseppe Meazza. Surely there’s plenty of matches ahead, and everything could change, but everything seems to be conspiring for yet another Juve title in the Italian Serie A.
