At the age of 17, Eduardo Camavinga is already a phenomenon in French Football. The estimated price to get him out of Rennes is around 70 million euros. The Left-footed, youngster Camavinga impresses with his frightening maturity and technical awareness within the pitch. Let’s get to know a little bit more about him, and how, and why this young player is attracting interests from Liverpool, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, and Real Madrid.

Born in Miconje, an Angolan village, and community located in the province of Cabinda, Eduardo Camavinga moved to France at the age of one. The first steps in football took place at Drapeau de Fougeres in 2009. He impressed his coaches, and also had a personal style that reminds the likes of Lionel Messi and Roberto Firmino. Kinda shy outside the pitch, but is able to run the show when playing football.

Joining Rennes at the age of 11, Camavinga always trained with players above his age, such a disparity with players of his age. The extra-natural qualities allowed him to act as a defender to ensure the positive and half-offensive result so that he could assist in the search for the goal.

As time went on, he got promoted to the main team, and made his debut in professional football at the age of 16, becoming the younger Rennes player to do so.

He was described as a “Ray of Sunshine”, and also was hailed by Rennes Sports director, who claimed the youngster made everything look easier, despite the few games he played in his first season.

His style of play is associated with that of the Frenchman Paul Pogba. He’s got more or less the same height, and a good vision to breakdown defenses, it seems certain that we will see the athlete standing out among the bests in the world in the position.

It’s said that almost every heavy-weight club in Europe is keeping an eye on him, as he can be sure the next big thing in Football. However, we have to be careful when making these statements, as we can jinx the players, as the media – with me included – helped to jinx the likes of Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Lucas Paqueta, and others.

Let’s see if Camavinga can become the new Camavinga, and then, be compared to Lionel Messi, Pele, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Maradona.
