Brazil destroy Peru 5-0 and advance to the Copa America Knockout Stages

After hearing booing and even ironic “ole” shouts in their opponent’s touches in their first two matches in the Copa América, the Brazilian Team finally managed a day without raids with the stands in the competition that contests at home. At the Itaquera Stadium, in São Paulo, the Selecao put 5 past Peru and was even celebrated with verbal yells of truly “ole”, this afternoon (22).

With goals from Casemiro, Roberto Firmino, Everton, Daniel Alves, and a beautiful Willian goal, Tite’s Brazil avoided scare and won the first place in Group A. Brazil will take third place in Group B or third place in Group C. The rival, therefore, could be Paraguay, Qatar, Argentina, Japan or Ecuador. In the scenarios that seem most likely, the opponent is between Argentina and Paraguay.

Reversing the order of the previous matches, in which they began by pressing and letting the rhythm fall, the Selecao encountered difficulties at the beginning in front of an opponent who did not just score. The Peruvians even scared off the foul suffered by Guerrero and cheered their fans, who came in good numbers. The hosts were struggling to swap passes until everything cleared in a corner. At 12 minutes, Coutinho’s corner was met by Casemiro, who took advantage of the leftovers to score a header. 1-0 Brazil.

Seven minutes later goalkeeper Pedro Gallese’s goal kick ended up deflecting off Firmino, and then off the post. Liverpool star took the rebound, rounded the Peruvian goalkeeper, and fired home his signature move: the no-look finish. 2-0 Brazil.

The visitors fell, the confidence of the hosts grew, and what was seen from there was total domination. The Selecao began to exchange quick passes, taking wide advantage over the marking. When the move was reversed from right to left and Everton saw himself hand in hand with Advincula, the difference was huge. At 32, the striker faced the defender and waved Gallese’s net once again. 3-0 Brazil.

We could hear the firsts “ole” arose still in the first half, and the dominion was maintained in the second. At 53 minutes, Daniel Alves combined a give-and-go with Firmino and made his. It was the cue to Peruvian manager Ricardo Gareca to give up the attack and try to control the loss in the goal balance – which can set the ranking or not of Peru as one of the two best third-placed.

On the other hand, Tite rested some players and gave the opportunity to some other ones. One of them was Chelsea’s Willian, who got the ball down the right, cut inside and curled the 5th Brazilian goal home in a powerful shot from outside the box. 5-0 Brazil.

There was still time for Gabriel Jesus miss a late penalty, which could have made the difference for Peru.

In the good win, bad news for the Selecao. In those difficult opening minutes, Casemiro committed a bad foul, received his second yellow card in the Copa America and will have to comply with suspension. His replacement will probably be Napoli’s Allan, but there’s a doubt between him and Fernandinho. Peru awaits until tomorrow to see whether they will qualify or not.

Harry Kane Puskas’ Goal Guarantees Spurs 3-2 Win Over Juventus

Anthological! Thus should be defined the Harry Kane’s goal on Sunday morning in Singapore, which guaranteed the 3-2 Spurs triumph against Juventus in the International Champions Cup. After the 2-2 draw was kept until the last minutes, the English striker surprised the goalkeeper Szczesny and brought the stadium to madness! Before Kane’s masterpiece, Erik Lamela, Lucas Moura, Gonzalo Higuain, and Cristiano Ronaldo scored.

We can say that the game was friendly only on paper. With much intensity, Tottenham dominated the first half and built the advantage through Lamela, who capitalized on a rebounded ball by Buffon.

The Spurs were better during the first half, but it seemed like the London club did not come back to the pitch up to score more goals. Smart Maurizio Sarri introduced Higuain as Juventus quickly fired back. With 15 minutes into the second half, the Italians completed the comeback through Higuain himself, and the Portuguese star CR7.

Pochettino introduced Lucas Moura, as the Brazilian showed opportunism to leave everything the same. 2-2.

When everything seemed solved, Kane took out the unpredictable from the hat and wrapped up the game in an absurd goal from the midfield.

Lucas won the ball in his defensive half and played with Kane, who, in a mad-moment, took the risk to attempt from down the midfield. The ball made all the way into the net, looping over Szczesny, who even tried to save it, but he wasn’t really expecting that. None of us were, to be honest. 3-2 Tottenham.

After losing to the Spurs, Juventus will face Inter Milan next Wednesday and Atletico Madrid on August 10.

Meanwhile, the Spurs have three more scheduled preseason appointments. For the International Champions Cup, Tottenham will take Manchester United and Inter Milan. Between the two games, Pochettino leads the team against Real Madrid on 30 July in another friendly tournament.

Dortmund beat Liverpool 3-2 in a friendly in the US

Borussia Dortmund defeated Liverpool 3-2 on Friday in a preseason friendly match at the University of Notre Dame Stadium in Indiana, United States. Paco Alcacer, Thomas Delaney and Jacob Larsen scored for the German team, as youngsters Harry Wilson and Rhian Brewster, discounted for the European Champions.

As expected, the two teams started out with a lot of reserves in the field and changed all the players in the second half. Unlike the German team, which already has a large part of the squad available, Liverpool still cannot count with a few key players such as Congolese Naby Keita, Senegalese Sadio Mane, the Egyptian King, Mohamed Salah, and Brazilians Roberto Firmino, and Alisson Becker.

This was Liverpool’s third friendly, as they had beaten Tranmere Rovers 6-0 and then beat Bradford City 3-1 before traveling to the United States.

Borussia got their second win in the preseason two days after beating American side Seattle Sounders 3-1.

So let’s get into the game. Under the hot weather at Indiana, manager Jurgen Klopp’s former club Borussia opened the scoring in just three minutes into the game, with the Spanish Paco Alcacer taking advantage of poor defense from the English defense.

At 34, the Brazilian Fabinho played with Ryan Kent, who did the light-cut and left Harry Wilson in conditions to level the game. 1-1.

In the second half, Borussia again was quick to return to the lead with a goal scored by Thomas Delaney with 53 on the clock.

Shortly after, at 58, Jacob Larsen expanded to the German team.

Liverpool even responded at 75, as captain Jordan Henderson let Rhian Brewster take the Penalty which he scored, but it wasn’t enough to equalize it. 3-2 Dortmund.

Well, it was a good win for Dortmund, who beat the European Champions. As for Liverpool, there’s no better time to lose games than now. It’s preferable to lose all the preseason matches and go unbeaten in the Premier League to win the title.
